At a recent school visit I was asked to caricature the teaching staff. When I do caricatures, I prefer to work in soft graphite, as opposed to ink. Most of my caricatures are done in full color. Now that means Photoshop.www.bronsmith.com

Artist's Choice
Today marks 10 years of my being a full-time freelancer, so its kind of a celebration. I did this piece as a promo and I'll be sending it out as a poster announcing my "anniversary." I wanted to create a piece that reflects what I think making a living as an illustrator is like: exhilarating, scary, dramatic, there's always something to reach for.
